The Hillsborough Disaster
Description:
On the 15th April 1989, 96 people lost their lives. The 96 people were all supporters of Liverpool FC and had travelled to Sheffield to watch their team take on Nottingham Forest in the semi final of the FA Cup at Hillsborough Stadium. Inadequate policing on the day led to too many Liverpool fans being allowed access to the already crowded Leppings Lane End. This resulted in a devastating crush that killed 96. This video is a collection of news bulletins reporting on the tragic events from that day
