The Dead Weather 'Horehound' Review

Another Jack White ‘supergroup’, this latest mob of blues-bashers chucks the White Stripes frontman onto drums, while The Kills’ Alison Mosshart undertakes squealing duties. Which is quite odd, actually, because we recall waking up recently thinking ‘hmmm, we’d really love to hear Jack White beat the crap out of a hi-hat’.

Predictably dealing in grubby blues with some raw slabs of thick bass riffery and funky synth, this is almost dirrrrtier than rolling round in a mud-pit of discarded fag ends. The drumming’s a bit crud though.
