Antichrist Review
Description:
Directed by Danish arthouse bod Lars Von Trier, Antichrist is a bloody horrible film. Anyone who's seen any of his previous works, such as The Idiots or Breaking The Waves, will know that his stuff is filmed in a very stark, gritty, realist manner. Following the death of their son, a couple relocate to the woods in order to solve the mother's depression. After a very sloooooooow first hour, it descends into total nasty horror. Extreme physical mutilation and sexual absurdity ensure this is probably the worst date movie in the history of cinema. So, to sum up: slow, arty and horrible.
